Mary Davila and Jocelyn Verdin
Lead Teachers
Collectively bringing a total of 35 years of experience in the field of Special Education, we are thrilled to host a camp like no other. We are excited to bring a sensory friendly camp filled with learning experiences created to meet the unique needs of children on the spectrum. Our specialized staff is excited for the opportunity to work with your child. Thank you for making us your number one choice!

Miryali El Halabi
Teacher Assistant
My name is Miryali El Halabi. I am an Engineer with a major in Quality Control and Finance. I was a university professor teaching Introduction to Petroleum Engineering then completed the teacher certification program at the Bilingual Educators Academy. I have been a substitute teacher in the general education and special education settings. Two years ago I discovered my true purpose as I started working in Early Childhood Special Education. I am excited to contribute with passion, dedication, and responsibility to the development of all students planning to experience this summer camp. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at Bright Future Autism Academy.

Renae Hernandez

Hi! My name is Renae Hernandez, but my students know me best as Ms. H and I am very excited to be working with your child! I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in EC-6 General Education, ESL certified, and EC-12 Special Education. This will be my 14th year as a teacher in the Katy ISD ECAP program. I am grateful and incredibly blessed to work alongside such passionate teachers at BFAA.

Rachel Camacho
Teacher Assistant
My name is Rachel Camacho and my calling in special education started over nine years ago with KatyISD. I have six years of experience in an ECSE classroom, five years teaching in a private preschool, three years currently as a special needs gymnastics coach, and I am also CPR and CPI certified. I feel so blessed to be on this journey with Bright Future Autism Academy as a teacher assistant.
